Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U15A vs  Tonbridge School
On: Saturday, 19 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

Lost 1-2

The U15As started the league season with a promising, yet ultimately frustrating loss. Playing against a structured and athletic Tonbridge side the boys fought against the slope in the first half to take an early lead. A world class left foot pass from Zach Alfalahi (C) found the evasive Charley Redknapp (G) who supplied a sublime lobbed finish with the outside of his right foot - an excellent piece of play. The visitors then started to gain territory through some direct balls in behind the Epsom defence. One of these balls helped level the score before a hopeful volley nestled into the top corner. The game then ebbed and flowed, with both sides failing to create clear chances. As Epsom gambled on an equaliser, Ben Garrett (G) made some superb saves with both his feet and outstretched arms. Rhys Day (G) and George Morley (C) came close to scoring from a few set pieces, but in the end the Tonbridge rearguard stood firm. All in all a steady start to the league season with an improved second half giving lots of encouragement for the next games.
