Match Report
Epsom College 2nd XV vs  Brighton College
On: Saturday, 10 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

Drew 15-15

This was a greatly anticipated game between two sides both on a five-game winning streak, and the contest did not disappoint. An early slick backs move off a solid scrum saw Shaun How Teo (Fa) cross the line to give Epsom a 5-0 lead. Brighton were not deterred and their resilient attack culminated in a well-worked try to leave the score at 5-7 going into the second half. Epsom came out of the blocks with a well-worked try of their own from a line out that saw Harry Lee (H) cross the line to restore Epsom’s lead at 12-7. Brighton quickly stuck back again and the game was poised at 12-12. A late penalty saw Brighton lead but the Epsom team as a whole led a charge that should have seen them cross the line and take the win. However, Brighton never let up in defence and it took a last play penalty from Tom Wearne (G) to see the game end level at 15-15. This was a huge effort from the team, who, disappointed not to walk away with a win, nevertheless remain unbeaten.

Tries: Teo (Fa), Lee (H)
