Epsom College Boys-U16A vs  Brighton College
On: Saturday, 10 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 27-25

Not one for the purist on a day where the weather played its part. Epsom did not start as well as they had in previous weeks, going down 0-10 early on, but this did not dampen spirits that saw Epsom claw their way back into the game with tries from Tom Lynagh (F) and Aaron Endeley (C). Lynagh added the extras from the boot. In an encounter that saw both sides show sloppy ball control at times, Epsom managed to win the territory battle but to little avail. Brighton, through a good driving and pick-and-go game, showed they could mix up their style of play. Again, though, Epsom showed they had a togetherness and determination to battle on. Going into the last four minutes of the game Epsom were behind, so from a penalty and a kick to the corner they went for a 14-man maul that came up just short. However, with some control and courage, Epsom’s pick-and-go game came off and a try was scored by Olaiya Adeniji (F). With the teams tied at 25-25 it came down to the last kick of the game, and Lynagh pierced the uprights for Epsom to win the game.

Tries: Lynagh (F), Endeley (C), Adeniji (F)

Player of the Match: Aaron Endeley (C) - for taking his opportunity with both hands.
