Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U16B vs  Brighton College
On: Saturday, 10 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 36-0

The U16Bs secured an impressive victory with a convincing performance based on simple ball retention, hard running lines and tight handling. Lewis Falworth (G) put in another industrious display up front, constantly hunting for the ball and was rewarded with an early score. Teddy Pople (P) then snuck through for a hugely impressive team score after the Brighton defence was stretched following several phases of Epsom attack. Epsom weathered the elements and a notable Brighton fightback shortly after half time and the steely resolve shown was evidence of the side’s determination to win. Ultimately, the Brighton defence reached breaking point with Epsom again running in some brilliantly recycled team tries. A wonderful length-of-the-field break from Toby Reynolds (G) was a particular highlight late on and Epsom must now look to build on this momentum as they approach the final few fixtures.

Tries: Falworth (G), Pople (P), Gilchrist (C), Everett (Rn), Kersley (H), Man (F)

Players of the Match: Teddy Pople (P) – controlled the game well from fly-half and made some excellent probing kicks, and Tristan Barrington (G) – some strong ball carries and excellent work rate.
