Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U14B vs  Brighton College
On: Saturday, 10 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 33-31

The end score indicates a close game, which indeed it was. Both sides were committed in attack, and certainly the slope of the pitch and a following wind assisted both teams accordingly. A game of two halves in many ways Epsom, however, were dogged and determined and never gave up. They made a good start and were soon 5-0 up, Oliver Yeabsley (G) using all of his pace and determination to put the ball over the line. Brighton came back strongly and directly had a comfortable lead. After half time it really was to-and-fro. Another converted try from Yeabsley, brought the game back to 12-19 but as the second half progressed it seemed that Brighton were well in control of the match. Yeabsley, though, ran a beautiful line for his third try, the visitors now ahead 19-24. The boys dug deep and the team spirit was tremendous. Brighton scored an easy try through a careless Epsom error and once again Epsom had to play catch up. Yeabsley scored his fourth try and the comeback was still possible. Rorke Ollerhead (Fa) duly scored with the last play to bring the game level at 31-31 and from the touchline, Teddy Keevil (C) coolly stroked the ball between the posts to win the game. The boys are to be congratulated on a fine win, running some beautiful lines and great support play turning the game in Epsom's favour.
