Epsom College Girls-1st XI vs  St John's School, Leatherhead
On: Saturday, 01 Dec 2018
Venue: Away

Drew 2-2

The 1st XI drew 2-2 in a really good game away at St John's. Epsom made a fast start and created a number of opportunities early on, but St John's broke away and scored from their first opportunity. The goal knocked the confidence of the girls and it took them a while to regroup and get back into the game. Epsom struggled to cope with the effectiveness of the opposition’s trio of centre back and twin centre midfields. A tactical and personnel switch at half time had an instant impact, with Tassy Williams (R) running through the midfield and creating the goal for the outstanding Liv Wilde (R) to score the equaliser. St John’s responded with speed in attack and scored their second, despite the efforts of Isabel Evans (R), who made a number of excellent saves. Epsom came back again, and Williams cut through the opposition to provide Lara Watson (M) with a goal on the far post. A really good, competitive game. One match to go away against Ardingly, so another good test for the team.

Goal Scorers: Wilde (R), Watson (M)

Players of the Match: Liv Wilde (R) and Isabel Evans (R)
