Match Report
Epsom College Girls-U14B vs  St John's School, Leatherhead
On: Saturday, 01 Dec 2018
Venue: at Home

Lost 0-2

A high octane, full-blooded contest of notable quality; the girls put in their best display of the season to no avail against a strong St John’s outfit. The girls matched St John’s every step of the way and defended superbly throughout, with Lily Taylor-Fitzgibbon (Rv) and Zoe Wildenberg (Rv) to the fore. The girls produced some lovely hockey on the counter-attack too, and a touch more composure from the five short corners won could have led to an exciting finish or even a share of the spoils. Emily Worby (M) was outstanding at right back, setting the game alight with her strong defending and electric pace on the right flank. She also showed passion and commitment and produced the best performance by a B player this season. The girls need a big week of training in order to aim to cap an excellent season with a win against Ardingly next Saturday.
