Epsom College Girls-U14A vs  Dunottar School
On: Saturday, 19 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

WON 22-8

A very successful day for this exciting U14A squad, with some inspirational play at times. In both matches Epsom continued their positive streak of impressive starting, leading 9-4, and 6-0 respectively after the first quarter. The Dunottar attack was quick and accurate, but superb Epsom defending broke their flow and GK Delphine Ayitey Hammond (Rv) read play expertly and reaped the rewards from the strong defence in front of her, swooping in for interception after interception. Sophie Norman (Wh) had a particularly impressive game against Dunottar’s talented centre, and remained calm in attack, always providing an option and creating several interceptions in defence. The three shooters all played superbly, but Ella Parson (Rv) particularly injected pace and proved difficult for the Dunottar defence to contain. Captain Polly Campbell (Rv) led from the front, playing three positions with a calm head and adapting well to each position under pressure. The final score was well deserved.
