Match Report
Epsom College Girls-1st XI vs  King Edward VI, Southampton
On: Saturday, 15 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

Lost 1-2

A frustrating first half saw Epsom fail to dominate in any area. The team was under pressure, especially nearing half time and only exceptional keeping from Issy Evans (R) and heroic defending from Tassy Williams (R) kept Epsom in the game. The second half was a different story. The girls were more cohesive as a team, passed the ball well and were able to exploit the right side with blistering runs from Adahna Ekoku (Rv). Epsom took the lead through a well worked short corner from Lottie Burton (M). Further good play followed and a number of opportunities were created. Against the run of play, KES scored a breakaway goal to bring the scores level. The final few minutes saw chances for both sides and KES took their opportunity to score the winner in the final minute. Lots of positives in the second half and a much improved performance.

Goal Scorer: Burton (M)

Player of the Match: Tassy Williams (R)
