Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U14A vs  Haileybury
On: Saturday, 02 Feb 2019
Venue: at Home

WON 4-2

A hard fought victory against a tough physical side. A slow start saw Epsom concede possession too often, allowing Haileybury to dominate the early part of the match. Some excellent defending from Oscar Allen (Rn), Rorke Ollerhead (Fa), Sam Waugh (F) and George Curtis (F) kept out the threatening opposition. Confidence grew as the game went on, with Kevin Gyamfi (P) and Didier Gore (C) taking charge in midfield. A well-fashioned break led to a superb opening goal from Max Wilson (Rn), after a lung-bursting run down the right channel. Haileybury came back into the game and quickly equalised. The half finished with both teams creating chances. A tactical change at half time saw Epsom retake the lead through a calm finish from Waugh. Haileybury came back and scored after some lax defending. With chances at both ends, a mistake from the opposition keeper gave Epsom a free kick outside the box that Kit Temperley (Rn) hit into the top corner. History was made at the death, with Farrah Stephens-Martins (M) tapping in to see the team home. Up next is a tough trip to Harrow.
Goal scorers: Wilson (Rn), Temperley (Rn), Waugh (F), Stephens-Martin (M)
