Epsom College Boys-U14B vs  St John's School, Leatherhead
On: Saturday, 08 Dec 2018
Venue: Away

WON 22-10

As the final match of the season beckoned, the challenge of away at St John’s looked a large one. The team stepped up to the plate and used sense and guile to keep the score to 3-5 for quite a while following a penalty from Teddy Keevil (C). Epsom camped in the opposition half for most of the first half and were unlucky to go in at the interval 3-10 down. A rousing half time team talk delivered the sermon on resilience, which the boys certainly did in the second half. Epsom had St. John’s constantly on the back foot and brilliant tries from John Esson (F) and then Rorke Ollerhead (Fa) saw Epsom take the lead with a conversion from Ollerhead. At 15-10 up it was a tense set of minutes until an outstanding individual try and conversion by Oliver Yeabsley (G) secured the victory. A great way to end the season.

Tries: Esson (F), Ollerhead (Fa), Yeabsley (G)

Players of the Match: Oliver Yeabsley (G) and Daniel Lodge (C)
