Epsom College Boys-U12B vs  St John's School, Leatherhead
On: Saturday, 08 Dec 2018
Venue: at Home

Lost 5-40

Chud 4 saw two evenly matched teams lining up. The first half was an extremely physical encounter, with hard running and tackling from both sides. St John’s broke the drought with the first try after some excellent play, which seemed to bring out some fire from the Epsom boys. Nikolas Moen (Hu), Kyle Ruth (Hu) and James Mathews (GH) led from the front in attack, making metres with every carry to set up the wide men. Some great defence was on display throughout the whole half with Freddie Hall (Wa) and Zac Power (Hu) making tackles all over the pitch. The second half saw a continued strong defensive effort from Epsom, which was rewarded with the majority of possession. This led to some strong runs from Mathews who was strong in attack all day, along with Ruth. Credit must go to Power for his excellent work at the ruck to help the team maintain possession to score a deserved try through Alex Williams (Hu) in the dying minutes. Well done to the boys for their progress throughout the year.
Try: Williams (Hu)
