Epsom College Boys-U13B vs  Dunottar School
On: Saturday, 13 Oct 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 20-15

A fantastic game by the U13Bs brought a hard fought victory. A great start from Dunottar saw them take the lead early on, but Epsom showed they were up for the battle. Tough tackling from Tomas Harrington (GH), Max Moir (Hu) and George Stanley (GH) demonstrated true grit and determination. Epsom managed to string some good phases together throughout the half but just came up short each time. Then just before half time, a mammoth kick from Harrington was superbly chased down by the whole team, who managed to turn the ball over and Thomas Ryan (GH) scooted under the posts so Epsom went in at half time just 5-10 down. Playing into the wind in the second half seemed to release the shackles from Epsom, with some strong ball carrying from Felix Fitzhugh (Wa) and Hector Buzzacott (GH), allied to power from Sam Han (Hu). Epsom worked their way back into the game with a well-worked try, seeing them string some neat offloads and some lovely inter passing culminating in Ryan going over for the second try. Dunottar replied straightaway with a well-worked try of their own, but the U13Bs’ heads did not drop. Han stepped up to score the equaliser, crashing over from 5 metres out and Epsom took full advantage of their momentum at this point with some great interplay, sneaking over in the final minute of the game for another Ryan try to win the match.

Tries: Ryan (GH) x3, Han (Hu)
