Match Report
Epsom College Girls-3rd XI vs  Haileybury Girls-U16A
On: Saturday, 08 Sep 2018
Venue: Away

WON 2-0

A sluggish start after the long coach journey but nonetheless the squad was brave enough to pass it around the back, ensuring the defenders became more confident and the Haileybury forwards more exhausted. There was some strong midfield play by Jess Haigh (R), distributing equally to the left and right, using width to drive towards goal. Outstanding saves by Aliyah Williams-Gordon (Cr) kept Epsom in the game at 0-0 at half time. In the second half Epsom came out fighting, winning plenty of short corners, one of which was converted clinically by Annie Hindley (Rv) from the top of the circle. Pressure continued toward a second goal, with one effort tapped in disallowed, so the girls forged forward again to convert the same move and Sophie Lonnon (W) claimed the second goal.

Goal Scorers: Hindley (Rv), Lonnon (W)
