Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U15B vs  St Paul's School
On: Saturday, 08 Sep 2018
Venue: Away

Lost 5-15

Epsom’s U15Bs received the kick off and turned over the ball, leading to 20 minutes of non-stop pressure. The boys showed huge character in defying the much more athletic and dynamic West London side. Leo Hagdrup (G) and Fred Brady (H) were immense in defence, repelling the hosts. After two St Paul’s tries the Epsom boys started to grow in confidence. Ollie Laidlaw (Fa) carried the ball with real determination and Henry Lyes (Rn) followed suit. This renewed penetration led to Laidlaw crossing the line and bringing Epsom back into the game at 5-10. Sadly, the backs could not find a way through and a late St Paul’s try left the final score 5-15. A creditable first effort, with lots of character shown. Work needed on attacking accuracy ahead of the Dulwich game.

Try: Laidlaw (Fa)
Player of the Match: Ollie Laidlaw (Fa)
