Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U15C vs  St Paul's School Boys-U15D
On: Saturday, 08 Sep 2018
Venue: Away

WON 28-24

An extraordinary team performance that was won with the last play of the game. Epsom and St Paul’s took turns to score in the first half, which ended 14-10 in Epsom’s favour thanks to Charlie Day’s (C) clinical conversion of tries from Angus Horan (Rn) and Callum Scholes (G). The second half started in the best way imaginable, with Horan running in a superb solo effort from within inside the Epsom half. Again, Day was ruthless with the boot, putting Epsom 21-10 ahead. The next section of the match saw St Paul’s dominate and they added two converted tries to inch ahead. Being in the red acted like a rag of the same colour to the Epsom team and they rallied to pile on the pressure. Having made their way up to the St Paul’s try line, they were rewarded with a last minute scrum on the 5 metre line right in front of the posts. After a few foiled attempts to pierce the line, Seb Collins (P) finally broke through to seal a well-earned victory that hopefully offers a glimpse of an exciting season ahead.

Tries: Horan (Rn) x2, Scholes (G), Collins (P)

Player of the Match: Angus Horan (Rn)
