Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U14B vs  St Paul's School
On: Saturday, 08 Sep 2018
Venue: Away

Lost 7-31

In the first match of the season the boys produced a good performance. The game started at a frantic pace with both teams creating chances but all too often turning over the ball. In attack Teddy Keevil (C) was pulling the strings, moving the ball well with Oliver Yeabsley (G) and Caius Luckyn-Malone (F) forming a good partnership in midfield. In defence Epsom tackled well, with Lucas Rasmussen (H) and John Esson (F) putting in numerous big hits to stop the opposition scoring. Just before half time, St Paul’s took the lead after Epsom lost the ball. The boys rallied at the start of the second half and created a number of good opportunities but handling let the team down. St Paul’s scored two more quick tries but Epsom did not lose their heads and some smart rucking and passing led to Rorke Ollerhead (Fa) getting his hands on the ball out wide to run in a great try, subsequently converted by Keevil. In the last ten minutes of the game St. Paul’s scored again despite resolute defence.

Tries: Ollerhead (Fa)

Player of the Match: John Esson (F)
