Epsom College 2nd XV vs  Cranleigh School
On: Saturday, 22 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 21-0

The 2nd XV looked to play a high tempo and an expansive game from the outset. Given the wet and greasy conditions such an approach could have been flawed and indeed there were a number of unforced errors in the early minutes. However, the squad remained committed to their game plan and with the Epsom defence crippling the Cranleigh attack, it was only a matter of time before moves honed on the training pitch began to click into place. With a solid attacking base provided by the pack, sublime kicking from James Webster (Fa) and superb lines from the Jack Briggs (P) and Shaun How Teo (Fa), the Epsom backline established a dominance even the rain could not stop. Credit goes to the back three, especially Tom Wearne (G) who was a stalwart under the high ball, always counter-attacking to great effect.

Tries: Webster (Fa) x2, Grealis (C)

Player of the Match: Tom Wearne (G)
