Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U14D vs  Cranleigh School
On: Saturday, 22 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 47-12

The U14Ds recorded a terrific win with an impressive display in the rain. After good efforts in their previous two matches the boys were confident from the outset and an early interception try settled any remaining nerves. Cranleigh battled hard and restricted Epsom to 19-0 with the slope in the first half. However, an early breakaway try from Harry Pearson (H) gave the boys confidence and despite conceding two tries, three more came up the hill thanks to the pace of Pearson and the intelligence and high level skill of Harry Boxer (G) and Luka Woods (Fa). The victory was a team effort, though, with everyone stepping up and playing their part. Tackling was ferocious, one determined effort in the first half particularly memorable as Cranleigh closed on the Epsom line. A worthy victory and the first of many for this talented team.

Tries: Pearson (H) x3, Boxer (G) x2, Woods (Fa) x2

Players of the Match: Harry Boxer (G) and Luka Woods (Fa) – stood out for their intelligence and ball-handling.
