Match Report
Epsom College 1st XV vs  Canford School
On: Saturday, 06 Oct 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 29-5

In torrential conditions, the 1st XV came out with a good win against a tireless Canford side. Canford scored first but Adam Koep (C) responded by going over in the far corner. James Webster (Fa) then went over after catching a deft offload from Makeen Alikhan (Rn), which he then converted. Immediately after the break, Webster then added a penalty to make it 15-5. In the wet conditions, both sides made multiple mistakes and squandered a plethora of chances. Epsom however converted two more chances, Luke Nesbit (F) diving over from close range and then Lennan Day (G) scoring from the back of a maul. This was a good outing two weeks from the last game against Cranleigh and a good start to a tough week of rugby ahead with Champions Trophy match on Tuesday against Grammar School, Leeds, followed by Harrow.

Tries: Koep (C), Webster (Fa), Nesbit (F), Day (G)

Players of the Match: Riley Milsom (C) and Makeen Alikhan (Rn) -fantastic in both close quarters and open play.
