Epsom College Boys-U16A vs  RGS, Guildford
On: Saturday, 17 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 17-8

Another win for the Colts A team sees them on a four match winning run. This was a game that saw Epsom go up early in the match, with Alfie Tann (F) sneaking through a breakdown to go over from five metres out, Tom Lynagh (F) adding the extras. A testament to how much the side has developed over the season was when RGS were camped in the Epsom 22 for a sustained period, which eventually saw them come away with a try. However, Epsom made RGS work extremely hard for this, which took its toll on them. With another powerful display from the Epsom forwards, gathering good momentum in both lineout and scrum, the pressure became too much for RGS to handle, Olaiya Adeniji (F) crashing over from a pick and go. The second half ebbed and flowed but never really got going. Both teams were scrappy in their ball retention and their set piece and did not really enable either side a foothold on the game. A penalty from Lynagh saw Epsom come away with another win. Not the prettiest of second half and much to improve upon.

Tries: Tann (F), Adeniji (F)

Player of the Match: Henry Dalton (P) - for making some impressive breaks and being a rock in the Epsom defence.
