Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U15C vs  RGS, Guildford
On: Saturday, 17 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 27-5

The winning streak continued with an excellent win over a physical RGS side. Epsom started with great intent, carrying the ball well and keeping possession through the phases. Forwards Will Busby (P) and Ollie Mullen (P) were very effective on the crash ball, allowing Luke Gordon-Pullar (G) at scrum half to provide slick service to playmaker Ollie King (Rn). This combined team effort led to tries from Fraser Spalding (Fa), Louis Doyle (H) and Charlie Day (C), and saw the team going in to half time with a 17-0 lead. King added another try early in the second half in a moment of individual brilliance, kicking and chasing a cute grubber which he dived on to score under the posts. RGS rallied at this point and started to wear away at the Epsom defence. They got their reward with an impressive breakaway try but they had left themselves too much work to do. Their fate became even more certain with a late surge from Epsom, which saw Kai Von Eisenhart-Goodwin (G) bundling over the line from short range. It has become a real pleasure to watch this team play together and it will be exciting to see what the rest of the season brings.

Tries: Spalding (Fa), Doyle (H), Day (C), King (Rn), Von Eisenhart-Goodwin (G)

Players of the Match: Ollie King (Rn) and Ollie Mullen (P)
