WON 31-12

At the start of the match, Epsom recovered their own kick off and Kit Temperley (Rn) eluded several runners to score under the posts, adding the conversion to put Epsom immediately on the front foot. The tempo was maintained with a barrage of powerful runs until Will Springett (Fa) was set loose on the wing to take it to 12-0 within ten minutes. Hurstpierpoint responded well and kept Epsom under pressure until Harry Addington (P) managed to scoop up a loose ball and distribute it quickly to the wing, allowing Will Raymond (P) to run in from the half-way line and score. Temperley (Rn) converted again to take the game to 19-0. Epsom were caught off-guard by a quickly taken penalty and Hurstpierpoint scored in the corner to cut the deficit to 19-5 but the boys kept the pressure up and Lucas Schmid (Fa) closed the half at 24-5 with a powerful, individual try. Temperley made another elusive run to score under the posts to put Epsom firmly in control at 31-5 but Hurstpierpoint kept fighting and used their superior size to drive Epsom back. A sensational kick from the fly-half allowed them to score after a period of sustained pressure to close the score again at 31-12. Epsom seemed reinvigorated by the mounting comeback and redoubled their efforts in the closing moments to secure a convincing victory.
