Epsom College Girls-U16A vs  St John's School, Leatherhead
On: Saturday, 12 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

WON 13-10

What an exciting start to the season, starting the last quarter 4-8 down and finishing with a 13-10 win. Epsom were a little slow to get into the game but once they settled the girls became stronger. In defence Jessica Haigh (R) had a very strong game at WD, as did Issy Mitchell (R), turning the ball over often. This ensured the game ended equal after the first quarter. Epsom struggled to convert goals in the second half, despite some strong attacking play from Isabel Burke (Rv) and Lulu Candlish (Rv). A change of positions moving Ella Nigrelli (Rv) to GA and Lulu Candish to GS transformed the attack’s performance. This, with the support of a strong defensive team ended in a fantastic win.
