Venue: at Home

WON 12-3

An hour’s lull before the PGS match did not dampen the squad’s concentration. An effective warm up pre-match saw them storm to a 6-0 lead, Anouska Powell (W) dominating so impressively at WA, and stamping her authority on the match. Relationships between shooters Amelia Thomson (Wh), Ella Parson (Rv) and Anna Andrews (R) are growing stronger with each match, reading off each other superbly and starting to balance the circle with more effect. Shooting was not always 100% accurate but their defence of the backline was fantastic, often winning back ball immediately. Lily Taylor- Fitzgibbon (Rv) executed her WD role with much more thought today, timing her drives beautifully in attack and creating opportunities for Furaha Wasunna (W) to intercept and dominate the shooting D with Delphine Ayitey-Hammond (Rv) and Polly Martin-Webb (M). PGS came back at the girls in the second and third quarters, but the win was never in doubt. The team applied their knowledge gained in training this week with great effect and are to be applauded for their results.
