Match Report
Epsom College Girls-U12B vs  Cranleigh Tournament
On: Wednesday, 23 Jan 2019
Venue: Away

It was a cold day for netball but the U12B girls braved the weather and played superbly all day in the Cranleigh tournament. The structure of the tournament was a round robin so the girls played all teams that entered. These were Cranleigh, Seaford, Edgeborough, Hurstpierpoint, Highfield and St John's.
The first game against St John's was a fiercely competitive game to start the day. The girls worked well at getting free to provide lots of options for ball carrier and the shooting from Olivia Key (Hu), Maria Grant (Hu) and Katie Reid (Wa) was excellent. The game resulted in a draw, 4-4.
The day progressed and there were strong performances against Edgeborough and Seaford. Caitlin Lynch (Wa), Lucy Stephens (Hu) and Heeta Vijaykumar (GH) worked well in the midcourt, controlling the speed of the game and helping the shooters get closer to the post. There were close games against Hurstpierpoint and Highfield, however a few passing errors crept in to allow the teams to win by a couple of goals.
An excellent day of netball where the girls worked well with each other and finished in a respectable 4th place, narrowly missing out on a podium finish.

Player of the Tournament: Katie Reid (Wa) - for her excellent movement and control with the ball.
