WON 15-10

On a sunny yet chilly afternoon Epsom and Cranleigh produced an U13 game of the highest standard. Having won the toss and decided to face the conditions Epsom initially struggled against the aggressive and well-drilled Cranleigh pack. Often throwing large numbers into the ruck and utilising their large ball carriers in attack, Cranleigh made Epsom spend long periods hanging on in their own half. A few Cranleigh scores were then halved through a swift counter attack that saw Epsom go over to score. Half time came with Cranleigh leading 10-5. After the break the boys then showed their usual second half surge and began to frustrate the Cranleigh pack by moving the ball into space and keeping the ball alive. This positive and at times scintillating rugby was matched by a renewed motivation at the breakdown. Some superb tackles and counter rucks then led to Epsom dominating the game and leading to two further home scores. A 15-10 win sealed the best performance of the season thus far.
