Epsom College Boys-U12A vs  Dulwich Prep London Boys-U12B
On: Wednesday, 28 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 30-0

Another fine performance from the boys. With the driving rain producing tough, yet dramatic, conditions the U12As yet again started solidly before coming to life in a trademark late surge. In the first half the boys battled against a gale force wind to hold on for long periods against an impressive DPL side. As confidence began to grow, following a few Dougal Freeman (Hu) and Caspar Curran (Wa) breaks, the boys latched on to a well worked set piece to get into the red zone. Step forward Kaylan Patel (Hu) who cleverly left his left wing position to add numbers to the short side and score in the right hand corner. This game intelligence led to Epsom leading 5-0 at half time. In the second half the forwards pack of Fin Stirling (Wa), Jacob Elliott (GH), Oliver Crabb (GH), and the ever improving Edward Green (Hu) continued to look after and steal the ball at the breakdown. This platform then led to some excellent running with ball in hand by Ben Berry (GH) and Thabo Kuaho (GH). With Louis Simmons (Hu) producing two amazing recovery tackles, the visitors soon lost hope as the Epsom scores continued to rack up. Oscar Lent (Wa) and Curran in particular ran the game from the backline as Epsom made it 7 games unbeaten in what is proving to be a wonderful first season in Epsom colours.

Tries: Lent (Wa) x2, Patel (Hu), Berry (GH), Eliiott (GH), Freeman (Hu)

Player of the Match: Edward Green (Hu)
