Match Report
Epsom College Girls-1st XI vs  Ardingly College
On: Saturday, 08 Dec 2018
Venue: Away

WON 3-2

The 1st XI finished off an outstanding season in fine style with a tough 3-2 win over Ardingly in really poor conditions. The side started slowly after a lack of warm up and went behind early to a well-taken goal from the opposition. Gradually Epsom gained the ascendency and scored a deserved equaliser from Hannah Palmer (M). The girls continued to dominate the game and Adahna Ekoku (Rv) scored the second after a fine move. Ardingly played very direct hockey and equalised from a well-worked short corner routine. Despite this setback, Epsom came back again and Liv Wilde (R) scored a fantastic backhand into the roof of the net just before half time. During the second half, Epsom missed a number of opportunities to close the game out. Ardingly pushed for the equaliser and a number of good saves from Isabel Evans (R) stopped the opposition from scoring. A great way to finish an excellent season.

Goal Scorers: Palmer (M), Ekoku (Rv), Wilde (R)
