Epsom College Girls-3rd XI vs  Ardingly College
On: Saturday, 08 Dec 2018
Venue: at Home

WON 5-2

A sleepy first five minutes made the girls aware that this was to be no walk in the park but rather a marathon of fifty minutes of quality hockey and both sides did not disappoint. Right wing dynamo Molly Needham (W) read the game beautifully and slipped across by the left post to slot one goal in. Gemma Doe (Wh) had been nervous when asked to player as a striker but managed to stride forward and hit the ball from the top of the D into the bottom right corner to take the team to 2-0 up at half time. Clara Alexis (R) listened well to the half time team talk and took up her usual position down the left to dink it in on the reverse for the third. Ardingly hit back with two goals to make the game close. However, left back Claudia Hess (W) made her way through to score, again from the left, while another goal for Sophie Lonnon (W) finished off the unbeaten season in style.

Goal Scorers: Needham (W), Doe (Wh), Alexis (R), Hess (W), Lonnon (W)
