Player of the Day: Mia Herbert (GH) was exceptional in goal making some amazing saves throughout the day.

Another tournament saw the U12A team shine against some well established Hockey schools. A dominant display in the first game vs Cranleigh saw a 1-0 win which could have been more if not for some good goalkeeping and better finishing. Two more tough group games followed vs Downsend which resulted in a 0-1 loss and a final nail biting game vs Highfield which Epsom won with a late goal from Maddie O’Brien (GH).
The Semi-final was a rematch from the previous week against Danes Hill and a much improved performance saw the side hold on for a 0-0 draw. With penalty shuffles needed to separate the sides Gina Carrington (Wa) stepped up to score, backed up by Mia Herbert (GH) in the net meant Epsom progressed to the final.
Downsend were the opponents and this was much the same as the semi-final, with Mia Herbert in goal making a number of saves to keep Epsom in the game. Another 0-0 draw called for penalty shuffles again, however this time Downsend prevailed with a 2-0 win. The team improved again in what was a very strong tournament and can be very proud of a good second placed finish.
