Match Report
Epsom College Girls-U15B vs  Sutton Valence School
On: Saturday, 10 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

WON 2-0

The U15B girls managed to shake off the cobwebs from half term to overcome Sutton Valence. The opening exchanges were quite scrappy, however Epsom soon found their feet and grew into the game. Some slick passing outside the opposition's D saw Gemma Rose Laughton (Rv) slip the ball to Mia Smiley (Rv) for a slick deflected goal just before half time. After the break Epsom kept up the pressure, with Jessica Alexander (Rv) and Allegra Sheen (Cr) keeping the midfield ticking over. Epsom soon doubled their lead as Libby Sterling (M) took advantage of a loose ball in the D, gave the goalkeeper ‘the eyes’, and slotted the ball in the opposite corner. Epsom managed to hold off a late resurgence to keep a clean sheet, with centre-back pairing Lucy Ellis (W) and Freya Calvert (Rv) forming a formidable defensive wall. Special mention must go to Alexia Tams (R) and Kate Collie (M) who stepped up from the C team and looked totally at home.

Goal Scorers: Smiley (Rv), Stirling (M)
