On: Saturday, 17 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

Drew 1-1

A great game. It was 0-0 at half time, with both teams having made chances. Katie Evans (M) terrorised the Bradfield defence all afternoon with great skill and hard running. Maddie Wearne (Cr) was fabulous in defence, offering plenty of support high up on the pitch. Half way through the second half a tactical switch for Farrah Stephens-Martin (M) and Evans meant that Epsom could create havoc with Farrah’s pace on the right. The ploy worked and Epsom created some excellent chances. The breakthrough came with an unbelievable hard run from Farrah, beating three defenders to hit the line and then square a great ball into the penalty spot for Charlotte Thesiger (R) to slot away. With three minutes to go, a lapse of concentration gifted the ball to Bradfield on the right wing, Epsom were too slow to react and conceded an equaliser. A couple of late short corner strikes from Evans went close, but in the end, Epsom could not find the winner.
Goal Scorer: Thesiger (R)
