Epsom College Girls-U14B vs  Bradfield College
On: Saturday, 17 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

Lost 0-1

This was a spirited display from the U14Bs. With the regular goalkeeper unwell, Meely Thesiger (R) volunteered to don the gear, and did a great job in spite of her limited experience. This late withdrawal left the team with no subs, but the 11 girls worked remarkably hard and produced some of their best hockey of the season. Polly Martin-Webb (M) and Holly Hewins (W) linked superbly on the right and terrified the Bradfield defence all afternoon. Emily Worby (M) was superb at right back, too, tackling with gusto, carrying dynamically and passing crisply. The girls came agonisingly close to a late equaliser, as a powerful short corner strike from Hewins was well saved and the girls could not quite put the rebound away.
