Match Report
Epsom College Girls-U14E vs  Lingfield College
On: Monday, 14 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

WON 8-2

The girls bounced back from Saturday's defeat and worked well to implement tactics and technique discussed following the previous defeat. Epsom dominated the centre third in the first quarter, defending strongly and making good attacking runs. The shooters worked well to convert attacking play into goals with Anna Lomtadze (Cr) demonstrating more poise in front of goal and Lauren Gurney (R), who stepped in to cover absences, proving herself a tenacious Goal Attack. Establishing a 4-0 lead in the first quarter buoyed confidence in the team and the match was played with a determination that was missing from the weekend. The defence worked tirelessly throughout to make sure any attacks by Lingfield were diffused and all girls should be proud of the progress they have made in this short time. For the second match running Laura Galanty (W) at centre was voted player of the match for how she controlled the flow and pace of play.
