Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U18A vs  Reigate Squash Club
On: Wednesday, 28 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

Lost 2-6

Epsom’s senior players played their first fixture against Reigate Squash Club last season, in order to give the pupils the challenge of playing experienced club players. Reigate proved to be a strong opposition once again: every match was closely-fought, but Reigate emerged victorious by a 6-2 margin.
Ben Harris (Rn), also a member of Reigate Squash Club, but playing for the College, won a very tight first seed match 3-1.
Stan Tanguy (G) impressed onlookers with his skills and determination, but this was not enough to beat a more experienced opponent.
Nat Chak (Wh) only lost in the deciding game at third seed, in a close match in which neither player won two consecutive games.
Fourth seed Elliott Rumble (P) also pushed his opponent hard, losing each game narrowly.
Mr Fisher lost the first game, but came back to win the fifth seed match 3-1.
James Bull’s (G) match offered perhaps the best entertainment: there was very little between James and his opponent, but James lost narrowly in four games.
Mr Johnstone did not manage to produce his best squash, losing the seventh seed match.
Finally Fraser Spalding (Fa) played well against a talented Surrey junior player, winning one game and coming close in the others, losing 3-1 overall.
After the squash, the two sides enjoyed an informal supper in the Tuck Shop. Thanks to Dr Chris Harris (Ben’s father) for putting together a Reigate team that was so well-matched to Epsom’s players.
