Match Report
Epsom College Mixed Juniors vs  Annual Weald & Downland Trophy Gala
On: Thursday, 31 Jan 2019
Venue: Away

The threat of snow held off long enough for a coach full of swimmers to travel to Tonbridge on Thursday afternoon for the annual Weald and Downland Cup. The standard of swimmers this year was very high, with a flurry of national level swimmers, mainly from Sevenoaks), making even a 2nd place finish a real achievement.
In the U16 boys, Frank Yao (F) set a new PB of 35.64 (50m Breast), as did Thomas Stannard (C) 1:04.13 (100m Free). The U14 girls came 3rd in every single individual and relay event – Amy Scerri (M) swam a fantastic 34.58 on the fly leg of the relay, after she had already swum three events. In the U14 boys Ethan Sim (F) swam a solid 100m free (1:07.79). The fastest Epsom swim of the day came from Max Hales (Fa) who clocked 26.9 in the U19 freestyle relay.

A big thank you to Josh Dixon (C) and Rorke Ollerhead (Fa), who were called up on the day to swim, and Louis Hawkins (F) who swam up a year in the senior age group.

Full results to follow.
