Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U15C vs  Tonbridge School
On: Saturday, 19 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

Lost 1-4

The U15Cs faced very strong competition in their second match of the season. The first half was a war of attrition, with both sides making numerous breakthroughs that were stopped by the robust defence on both sides, with Henry Lyes (P) and Angus Horan (Rn) being instrumental in turning the ball around. A goal to Tonbridge from the final kick of the first half resulted in a 0-1 half time scoreline. An aggressive start by Epsom in the second half saw several close shots on goal, followed by a magnificent header into the net by Oliver King (Rn) from a long-distance throw-in by Max McKinlay (P) that levelled the score. The final ten minutes of the match unfortunately saw Epsom caught off-guard, as a flurry of three Tonbridge goals were delivered in quick succession. A disappointing end to the match, but much was learned that will be carried forward into Thursday’s fixture.
Goal scorer: King (Rn)
