An outstanding team effort from the U16A team this afternoon. Perseverance and resilience paid off as they were losing by 5 goals after the first quarter, even though the girls easily matched Hurstpierpoint on court. Strong defence again from Izzy Mitchell (R), Heidi Warren (Rv) and Jessica Haigh (R) with several turnovers meant that the team ended the second and third quarters on equal scoring. The return of Isabel Burke (Rv) from injury supported Katherine Marlow (Rv) and Holly Darlaston (R) in helping to bring the ball successfully into the attacking circle. The last quarter saw Ella Nigrelli (Rv) and Lulu Candlish (Rv) changing position in the attack, which then gave added strength on placing the ball directly into the circle. A very enjoyable game to watch. Well played girls
