Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U16A vs  Brighton College
On: Saturday, 09 Nov 2019
Venue: Away

Lost 10-11

An afternoon that was dictated by the boot. Epsom were put under early pressure by Brighton in the opening exchanges, which saw Brighton take the lead. Epsom’s response was good, applying pressure from the boots of Max Franks (H) and Jamie Taylor (P) that kept the Colts in the right area of the field. Brighton’s discipline let them down, conceding a penalty inside their own half, Charley Redknapp (G) adding the three points. The game was littered with mistakes from both teams as no one could get a hold on the game due to the weather conditions. However, Epsom produced the best passage of play in the whole game, slick handling and moving the ball into space seeing Louis Russell (C) dive over in the corner, Redknapp adding the conversion. The second half was a real arm wrestle, with both teams trying to find field position. Unfortunately, Epsom’s discipline let them down at times, which gave Brighton hope. As the second half rumbled on the Colts found the conditions and pressure hard to deal with. A lot of passion and commitment shown in what can only be described as appalling conditions.
Try: Russell (C)

Player of the Match: Max Franks (H)
