Match Report
Epsom College Boys-U15D vs  Harrow School Boys-U15E
On: Saturday, 12 Oct 2019
Venue: Away

Lost 12-14

The boys travelled to Harrow in wet and muddy conditions. The first half was attritional, with both Harrow and Epsom making forays into the opposing half but falling short of the try-line. Charlie Haviland (P) suffered an injury early on and Epsom were forced to play with 14 players for a period. The first half finished scoreless, largely due to Epsom’s stalwart defence, which included several try-saving tackles from Curtis Day (H), intelligent game management from Alex Povey (Rn), and fierce tackling from James Cossey (P). Harrow opened the second half with an impressive individual try, but Epsom responded well. Harry Boxer (G) intelligently took a quick tap penalty and waltzed in for a try. Epsom began to dominate possession and territory, eventually unleashing Harry Pearson (H) who scored under the posts. Epsom led with a minute to go, but victory was snatched away by a well-deserved try from Harrow. The conversion sealed the win in what was an incredibly dramatic and entertaining contest.

Tries: Boxer (G), Pearson (H)

Player of the Match: James Cossey (P)
