Match Report
Epsom College Girls-U16A vs  St Teresa's Effingham
On: Tuesday, 08 Oct 2019
Venue: at Home

Lost 2-5

Epsom took on a very strong St Teresa’s team and a tough first half saw the opposition go into a quick three-goal lead. Epsom looked like they may have been blown away. However, they fought back into the game and by half time looked like the team they are capable of being. In the second half Epsom came out a new side, and driven on by the work rate of Gina Liebenberg (Rv) and some great saves from Delphine Ayitey-Hammond (Rv), Epsom opened the second half scoring through Ella Parson (Rv). The team looked like they would score more but for some good defending from St Teresa’s. With only seconds to spare Farrah Stephens-Martin (M) stole the ball from the defence and broke free to finishing smartly past the keeper. The girls will now enter the plate and should be proud of their second half performance.

Goal Scorers: Parson (Rv), Stephens-Martin (M)

Player of the Match: Gina Liebenberg (Rv) - a great seocnd half display.
