Match Report
Epsom College 4th XV vs  Brighton College
On: Saturday, 09 Nov 2019
Venue: at Home

WON 31-0

Difficult conditions led to plenty of handling errors, but both sides gamely tried to play some good rugby. In the end, the power of the forwards and the quality of Epsom’s kicking game made the difference. Kit Man (F) scored the first try from close range after some good driving play. Captain Tom Busby (P) then forced his way over from short range. Teddy Pople (P) completed the first half scoring with an excellent break down the blind side from a ruck in the Epsom half, and his rapid pace saw him romp home. Maada Baihinga’s (H) perfect goal kicking gave Epsom a 21-0 half time lead, playing up hill. The second half was a much scrappier affair, but Epsom defended well. Sam Calvert (C) scored a good individual try from a long kick and chase. The scoring was completed by Max McMurdo (F), who took an excellent line at pace and went through untouched from 25 metres out.

Tries: Man (F), Busby (P), Pople (P), Calvert (C), McMurdo M (F)
