Match Report
Epsom College Girls-U12A vs  Reigate Grammar School
On: Saturday, 12 Oct 2019
Venue: at Home

WON 4-1

The U12A team showed how much they have improved over the course of the first half term, sealing a 4-1 over Reigate Grammar School. The first half was very controlled from the Epsom side and a great ball from Maddie Selman (Wa) opened up a first time shot for Ffion Davies (GH), which she duly slotted home. Epsom continued press forward, showing they were able to play balls long out of the back from both Lucie Jones (GH) and Rose Bellinger (Je). This led to multiple chances, Selman making this count by hammering home a rebound to make it 2-0 at half time. Only having seven players told in the second half and the team started to tire. With this the game opened up and Sophia Moores (Wa) was called upon to make a string of saves. Off the back of this show of fine goal keeping Epsom were able to counter with Violet Ollerhead (Wa) down the right side and she slid the ball past the keeper to make it 3-0. Reigate did come back into the game with a well-taken goal late in the match, but a first time Davies shot from a long pass from Selman killed the game off. The side can look forward to house hockey next week and a break over half term after a successful start to hockey at the College.
