Epsom College Girls-U13B vs  Sutton Valence School
On: Saturday, 09 Nov 2019
Venue: Away

WON 13-1

It was a frosty morning on arrival at Sutton Valence, with a thick fog covering the pitch. The extra chill in the air meant it took a little time to get going. But in their stride the girls began playing some lovely passes around the opposition defence and getting the ball into the D. The first goal came quickly from Seren Callaghan (Hu), with Ali Rugina (Hu) following up not long after. Sutton Valance fought back well and had some close chances following a couple of short corners given away by Epsom. The first half ended 4-0, with Epsom in a comfortable position but feeling they could take greater advantage of opportunities in the second half. This they duly did, as the second half started with a flurry of goals. Epsom began to take charge in the midfield, making it difficult for Sutton Valance to maintain possession. However, they did come back and score on the counter attack, running fast through the Epsom defence. In the end, the girls’ attack proved too strong and with goal contributions from several others, the game ended in a comprehensive victory. A great all round team performance.
