On: Saturday, 07 Mar 2020
Venue: at Home

WON 12-7

With the sun shining, Epsom finished an exciting match as winners. For the first quarter, the teams were evenly matched; both created good chances but also defended solidly. In the middle quarters, however, Epsom dominated the scoreline. Alice De Groot (Rv) was tireless as WA, giving the passers options as well as making some important interceptions. Similarly, Olivia Rodriguez (Wh) as GA played intelligent netball, drawing her defender out before running back into the D. She worked well alongside Amaara Alikhan (Rv) as GS and both players shot accurately. Benenden were still creating chances but Maddie Conway (M) and Raquel Williams (W) remained stalwarts in defence, Raquel in particular making a number of superb interceptions at full stretch. As both teams grew tired, more errors crept in during the final quarter. However, Epsom worked hard to rectify unforced errors and were quick to pounce on any errors made by Benenden, whilst the shooters maintained their superb conversion rate. The win was a full team effort and all ten members of the squad played excellent netball to contribute to the win.
Players of the Match: Raquel Williams (W) - for her superb defence and Olivia Rodriguez (Wh) - for her intelligent play.
